The HBA was founded to transform compassion into meaningful public action. The Foundation works for the welfare of vulnerable communities while giving special attention to drowning prevention—an issue that often receives attention only after a tragedy has occurred.

Drowning is not merely an individual accident. In many cases, it is a preventable public-safety failure. A lack of warning signs, inadequate barriers, absence of trained lifeguards, insufficient patrolling, poor emergency response systems, and limited awareness can turn a recreational visit into an irreversible tragedy.

HBA seeks to address these gaps through:

  • Public-awareness campaigns
  • Water-safety education
  • Youth engagement
  • School and college outreach
  • Advocacy for stronger safeguards at vulnerable water bodies
  • Collaboration with the media and civil society
  • Volunteer mobilisation
  • Community-welfare initiatives

Our endeavour is not driven by anger. It is guided by responsibility, remembrance, and the belief that collective action can protect lives.

Our Vision

To build a compassionate and responsible society in which preventable drowning deaths are significantly reduced, vulnerable communities receive meaningful support, and every individual is empowered to act with awareness, preparedness, and concern for others.

Our Mission

The Hemant Bala Advaitha Foundation seeks to:

  • Promote awareness about drowning prevention and water safety
  • Encourage practical safeguards at lakes, dams, rivers, beaches, swimming pools, and tourist destinations
  • Engage young people as ambassadors of safety and social responsibility
  • Work with schools, colleges, resident communities, public authorities, and civil-society organisations
  • Advocate stronger preventive measures and emergency-response systems
  • Use media and digital platforms to spread life-saving information
  • Support underserved and vulnerable communities through welfare-oriented initiatives
  • Create opportunities for citizens to contribute through volunteering, partnerships, and donations

Our Values

Compassion

We believe that empathy must translate into action. Every initiative undertaken by HBA begins with concern for human life and dignity.

Prevention

A tragedy prevented is a life protected. We focus on awareness, preparedness, and timely intervention.

Responsibility

Water safety is a shared responsibility. Families, citizens, institutions, tourism operators, local authorities, and governments all have a role to play.

Youth Participation

Young people have the energy and conviction to shape safer communities. HBA seeks to involve them meaningfully in the movement.

Collaboration

Lasting change is possible only when citizens, organisations, professionals, and public institutions work together.

Transparency

We are committed to responsible governance, lawful compliance, and transparent use of contributions received from supporters.

Inclusion

Our welfare initiatives are guided by the principle that every human life has equal value and every person deserves dignity, care, and opportunity.

Message from the Founder

There are moments in life that divide time into a before and an after.

The loss of Advaitha was one such moment for our family. He was young, gifted, full of warmth, and deeply passionate about music. His absence cannot be expressed in words.

In the midst of grief, we were confronted with a difficult question: could this tragedy have been prevented?

The answer compelled us to act.

We realised that many families lose their loved ones to drowning because adequate precautions, warnings, and emergency-response systems are not always available. We also realised that awareness among visitors, especially young people, can make a critical difference.

The Hemant Bala Advaitha Foundation is our effort to turn remembrance into responsibility.

We do not seek to work alone. We invite citizens, educational institutions, community organisations, public representatives, members of the media, and like-minded supporters to join this movement.

Every conversation can spread awareness.

Every precaution can prevent a tragedy.

Every volunteer can strengthen the mission.

Every life saved will be a tribute to Advaitha.
